Frequently Asked Questions
We know planning an event can bring up lots of questions — from marquee sizes and setup to extras and weather considerations. That’s why we’ve put together this handy FAQ page to give you clear, straightforward answers and help make your event planning stress-free.
Do you offer package deals?
Yes – we have packages that combine marquees, furniture, lighting, and heating for better value.

How long does setup and pack-down take?
It depends on the size and extras, but most marquees take between 1–3 hours to set up. Pack-down is usually faster.

Do I need to be home for delivery or pickup?
We recommend someone is available to confirm placement and access, but arrangements can be made if that’s not possible as long as the access is external.

What access do you need to set up the marquee?
We’ll need clear access to your site, ideally without steep steps or tight corners. We also require a minimum 1m width as we use platform trolleys to transport our equipment. Please let us know about any access challenges in advance as it may incur additional charges.

How do I know which size marquee I need?
This can vary depending on your event. We’ll guide you based on your guest count, seating arrangements, available space and if you want to have other elements such as decor, DJ, or dance floor.

Do you provide site inspections before booking?
Yes – we can arrange a site visit to make sure everything fits perfectly for a fee of $50. If you decide to go ahead with us, the $50 will go towards your package total cost!

Can marquees be set up on grass, concrete, or other surfaces?
Absolutely. We can set up on grass, concrete, gravel, or decking. We use secure weighting or pegging methods depending on the surface. However, if you have irrigation in your turf, please let us know so we can avoid using pegs.

Do your marquees work for all seasons?
Yes – our marquees are designed to protect guests from rain, wind, and sun. We also offer sidewalls and heating depending on the weather.
Are marquees waterproof and windproof?
Yes – all our marquees are waterproof, UV-resistant, and securely anchored to withstand wind within safety limits.
Do you require a deposit?
We don't require a deposit however, a bond payment is required to secure your booking. The bond is refunded upon collection of the marquee if there are no damages caused by the hirer. If a booking is cancelled after a bond payment is made, the bond will be considered non-refundable.
When is the full payment due?
The full payment is required upon installation of the marquee on the day.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for peak wedding and party seasons (spring and summer). However, we can often accommodate last-minute bookings if stock is available.
What happens if I need to cancel or change my booking?
We understand that plans can change. If you need to move your booking, we’re happy to reschedule to a new date if we have availability — just reach out as soon as you can so we can lock it in for you.
If you need to cancel altogether, please note that the bond is non-refundable. This helps cover the lost business from holding your booking date.
Can you set up the marquee the day before the event?
Yes – subject to availability, we can set up a day or two in advance to give you time to set up the inside of the marquee for your event.

What happens if the weather is bad on the day?
Our marquees are built to handle most weather. In extreme conditions, the hard decision of cancellation from our end may take place as safety is our first priority.

Can the marquee be decorated?
Definitely! You’re welcome to decorate the marquee to suit your theme as long no decor items touch the marquee roof and sides as this can cause staining or damages. Just let us know your plans so we can advise on safe methods and if a larger marquee is required to accomodate decoration items such as backdrops.

Do you provide power for lighting or heating?
We can supply lighting and heating, but you’ll need access to a power source.

Can the marquee be joined to my house, garage, or another structure?
We can safely bring the marquee as close as possible to existing structures without touching the structure to ensure no damage is caused to the marquee or your property, provided there’s sufficient access and we can secure it properly.

Do you set up and pack down on weekends or after hours?
Yes, we offer weekend and after-hours setup at an additional cost, subject to availability.
